Partnered TV stations have the option of hosting an interactive Media Library (a.k.a. Red Button) for their audience.
This service allows for VoD content broadcast, as well as supporting a wide range of interactive webpages and applications, including additional advertising placements (Banners, Pre-Roll/Mid-Roll ads, etc.).

Addressable TV refers to the practice of serving different ads to different viewers of the same video programming,
based on their demographic, behavioral, and geographic data.
This enables advertisers to create customized ad experiences,
catering to the unique needs and interests of individual viewers
and providing an ever-increasing amount of benefits to their audience.

Hybrid Television was launched in Greece in December 2017 by our company
In the first month, approximately 10,000 TV sets were activated
and by the end of 2018 the number of HbbTV capable devices exceeded 350.000.
According to statistics, about 1.500 televisions are activated every day.

About Us
SmartScreen Data was founded in 2025 and is based in Cyprus. Utilizing technical knowledge from AR Media (Germanyt) and preparing infrastructure with AnixeNet (Greece), on the 25/08/2020 the first HbbTV signal was broadcast for the ΡΙΚ (Radio Institution of Cyprus) public television station. The company provides Hybrid television services to public and private TV stations in Cyprus.
Having an ongoing contract with Velister which is bound to expire during 2025, we carry on with ΡΙΚ (Radio Institution of Cyprus) setting the foundations of a new collaboration with Hellas Sat, SmartScreen Data has established it’s position within the Cypriot television ecosystem.
In addition, our upcoming collaborations in the private sector shall grant brand-new advertising space, as well as services for the consumer, as is the case with Alpha Cyprus and ANT1 Cyprus.

Testing phase of AGF Data Integration from HbbTV has been initated in Germany.
The test integration of AGF return path data from HbbTVs begins in Germany.
AGF Videoforschung initiated a trial incorporating feedback data from compatible HbbTV devices and Sky Deutschland to achieve more accurate measurement of television and video consumption.
The experiment involves 100 broadcasters and aims to improve audience metrics by combining usage data with traditional statistics. A successful implementation could lead to broader adoption of the method in Germany.

Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV (HbbTV – Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV) is a new broadcast standard that allows online services to be integrated or connected to broadcast television.
It is aimed at users who have an internet-connected television (Smart TV).
With Hybrid TV, users can access a variety of online services, such as:
- Catch-up Video
- Live Streams
- Video on Demand (VoD) platforms
- Program-related Applications
among other rich services, directly on their TV – in a seamless experience.
HbbTV services are activated by pressing the “Red Button” on the remote control.
Users explore services with traditional navigation keys (including the OK key and colored remote control keys).
The current version of the HbbTV specification also includes support for “adaptive streaming” of video over a broadband connection, thus ensuring the best possible result on your screen.

Yes. HbbTV ads are displayed on television screens, and are as such subject to not only AnixeNet’s current Terms and Conditions, but also the EU’s Television Broadcasting Standards. Due to this, AnixeNet enforces an approval process for all advertising content that is broadcast on TV through our ad network.
You are not required to spend a minimum amount. This means you may spread your budget across different ads without any minimum commitments.
Only one price is set, and that is the “Floor Price”; higher pricing may come as the result of higher “bids” during the advertising delivery process.
Ad Banners are on display for a maximum of 10 seconds. The length of video ads is varied, depending on the ad video format and duration.
Yes, you may have your ads be displayed over any number of TV stations, provided they support the HbbTV broadcasting standard.
On certain TV stations, HbbTV ads may appear during designated linear ad blocks, without interruption.
However, we have developed a fail-safe ad delivery method that relies on viewer interaction, to ensure that viewers will see the ad content provided.
